PROS

-When you talk about "walking you through it," these guys really do just that. From building it to installation to wiring plans, all the information is provided for the average consumer.

-Detailed installation plans with color diagrams and pictures

-This comes with a clever "Solar Calculator" that they have developed, showing how many panels will be needed to power your home and what size battery bank you will need if you want to go completely "off-grid."

-Included are the Earth4Energy video series, the wind turbine kit, AND a bonus super high quality animation info video on everything you need to know about solar power.

-ALL of the government forms are included with package and ready to be filled out.

CONS

-Safety when installing electrical wiring to panels might be a concern. But the best part is that it comes with a reliable safety/protection manual.

#2 - Green DIY Energy

This Green "Do-it-Yourself" Energy Kit comes with everything you need to know, which is why it is highly ranked at number two in my review. From solar panels to wind energy, this packet includes an easy to read manual and installation process guide. While other products preach on about "how to," this kit comes with pictures, diagrams and even a video library! For less than $50, you definitely can't go wrong.

PROS

-Package includes "Build your own Wind Turbine," for those who'd like to try wind power as an alternative energy source as well.

-As stated earlier, the "Video Library" has over 60 minutes worth of step-by step videos. Comes in very handy for those who need to refer back to demonstration footage.

CONS

-The three step guide seems easy as 1-2-3, but the process is much more complicated than that. -The purchasing of solar panels, 30+ cells on each one and each pricing at an additional $98 each could be a problem.

-Requires electrical wiring, which is very dangerous if not performed properly. Good thing they run us through step-by-step, but still a concern.

-The DIY method or do-it-yourself theme sounds very cost efficient and fun too but can be extremely frustrating and confusing. But with patience and persistence, this is a GREAT product!

#3 - Magnets 4 Energy

Their motto is "Build your own magnetic generator and NEVER pay for electricity ever again!" Now THAT is a statement. Ranking in at my number three product is Magnets 4 Energy. This is an alternative approach for those who think solar/wind panels are not the way to go. This is said to be a much safer alternative to energize your home. If your trying to save on energy, you must consider ALL possible alternatives, and this was the best product for that.

PROS

-You can earn regular credits from your power company for generating MORE energy than you consume! That's a sweet deal!

-Comes with 5 bonus books including "How to run your car on water", "Gas saving devices" and "Fuel efficient cars." Very cool books to get you into the GREEN-FRIENDLY state of mind.

CONS

-This so-called "Free Energy Generator," is extremely technical and very time-consuming to create. But if done correctly, with patience and detail, this could save you in the long run.

-Magnetic energy isn't very conventional when it comes to home made energy. It requires dedication and precision to get right. Even with all these, its a good approach to energy.

-Magnetic energy isn't as strong or effective as using wind or solar panels. It is much safer than these other two, but it takes many of them to reach its full power potential.

-It requires many items that may not to be purchased before you can carry out instructions.

-There will probably be more troubleshooting issues when starting off, if you don't have the time to continually fix something than this product may not be for you.
